$50 off hotel bookings through hotelclub.com – a great deal!
![]()
hotelclub.com is offering, through the end of November, $50 off a hotel booking for new members. I just verified this myself and it works quite well. The reservation must be made by the end of November, but can be for a subsequent date. Just a couple of things to note:
- It is not clear whether or not all hotels will give you loyalty program points for these bookings since it is a pre-paid “unpublished rate” deal. So your mileage might vary with respect to points.
- While I am not suggesting one does this, I don’t see any reason why someone could not signup for multiple hotelclub.com memberships with various e-mail addresses. Again, I’m not suggesting you do this of course.
- There are reports on Flyertalk that you might get charged an international transaction fee from your credit card company because the company is owned by Orbitz but based out of Australia.
- Not all of the rates are exactly competitive. You can often find lower rates on the hotel’s own website, although not often $50 lower.
Have fun and report back your success here!

Not that I’m totally impressed, but this is a lot more than I expected for when I stumpled upon a link on Digg telling that the info is awesome. Thanks.
p.s. Year One is already on the Internet and you can watch it for free.

Hey, nice tips. Perhaps I’ll buy a bottle of beer to that person from that forum who told me to visit your blog
