Are Republicans planning on trashing Obama for the next 4 years?

If so, it’s going to be a long 4 years, particularly on the blogosphere. Apparently folks are in a tizzy this afternoon over the Nany Reagan comments at today’s press conference. Actually, let me change that: they’re feigning being in a tizzy. The likes of Michelle Malkin and her cohorts don’t actually care about Nancy Regan, they just like the opportunity to trash on Obama.
“I’ve spoken to all of them that are living,” the president-elect said in a lighter moment during his first press conference since his victory.
“I didn’t want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about, you know, doing any seances,” he joked.
The trouble is, it was Hillary that did the seances, not Nancy.
Like I said, it’s gonna be a long 4 years on the blogosphere. Hopefully it’ll go more quickly in the real world (the one that matters).

Yes. We will give him the same respect the left gave President Bush. To do anything less would be racist.

You betcha (wink) (wink).

The ’seances’ where a fake story.

He was most likely referring to Nancy Reagan’s use of Astrology.

all right wing nuts unite. you have nothing left but your petty anger. thanks to liars like the slant who writes this blog, the dems will rule for 16 years. go huddle around your fear with your guns and religion, we will move forward with an agenda that will make the tounge talkers like you crazy. you are irrelevant now, and you will pay for the damage the right wing has caused.
go beat up a gay now.

The liberal fascists have relied on us playing nice.
They haven’t obeyed the rules, so we’re not either, anymore.
They want the Chicago way?
Fine.
We’re the ones who won all the wars Democrats started.
Like the one Democrats started by weakening our country and letting terrorists in.
This should be cake.

A couple of these posts (the previous one) are ridiculous, but the sentiment of post number 1 is correct. Why is it that Bush spent his entire presidency getting trashed by liberals, and now if conservatives hold Obama to task going forward, there is something wrong with that? That’s called hypocracy, Scholar.
November 8th, 2008 14:40
We trashed Bush because of 1) his stupidity and his 2) bad policy choices. Neither yet applies to Obama, thus the criticism and bashing is unwarranted.

Hmmm sit around and trash Obama for 4 yrs? OH HELL YEA!

Everyone gets a one year honeymoon. Bush got it and so did Clinton except from the banshees like this blogger who still suffers from self-loathing(she did not exist then) and Limbaugh, Hannity and Liddy and later the walking vibrator Coulter. So now this banshee has joined the fun. I say go after B.O AFTER he becomes Prez and give him the same one year Bush got. Bush bashing started because of the SC decided election. this election was decided by people. So be it…Dont forget all the CLinton trashing preceding the Bush bashing. Gordon liddy called Hillary a harlot and we saw those dumb bumper stickers which said “My president is Charleton Heston”. I never saw a sticker like that during Bush’s regime. And I liked the guy and voted for him in 2000 and not in 2004.

Let’s see…Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush sr., and G.Dub. Each and everyone of these men endured attempts to assasinate their character and destroy their reputation from the lil’ libs on the left. In the case of Nixon the left used the judicial branch of gov’t to attack the executive branch in an end-run around the constitution to secure the airing of the ‘Watergate Show’. They also had drugged-up college students hipnotized into believing that the Viet-nam war was Nixon’s fault. Yet it was JFK who in fact started that war. Ford was ridiculed by opportunistic late-night comedians constantly as being a clutz of some sort and dumb. Yet he was a great athlete for the Michigan Wolverines and earned a degree from that institution. Bush sr. was labeled a wimp and yet it was he who after having his fighter plane shot out of the sky landed in the ocean and swam to a submarine…with the pistol in his hand the entire time. Reagan was attacked savagely all the time. Accused of merely being an actor without the intellectual capability to be a politician. They called him evil and claimed he would start ww3. However…never have I seen such vile dirty rotten manufactured demented hatred as I have seen spew forth from the left toward President George W. Bush. Therefore WE shall not fall for this “let’s rally ’round the family” now that the president will be a democrat. No sir. I’m sorry. We cannot and should not… nor shall we. let me see the Messiah emphatically and repeatedly state publicly these following few words and I might let him trick me : “uh…eh…uh…after having been thoroughly briefed and shown things privy only to the President…uh…eh…uh…I think we all owe President Bush an apology…uh…eh…the attacks on this American President have been deplorable and beneath us as a people and a nation…uh…so…eh…NO MORE. Enough. uh.. eh.. it’s the right thing to do”.

Yes, and unlike the left’s reliance on character assassination, rhetoric, vitriol and flat out lies, expect the right to stick to facts, spoken statements, and other verifiable truths about the Obamatron.

I would have been supportive of anyone who is honest, has the credentials & background for the office, didn’t pal around with the likes of Ayers, Wright, Pfleger, the PLO dudes, & we knew somethings around this person that has actually hidden much of his past. I thought when one is to become President they let everything be known, therefore I still wonder what he has to hide. I also know that any of us that attempt to question him publicly will be ostracized like ‘Joe the Plumber.’ I’m in support of honesty & openness & not trashing the other side by making up untruths. Until recently was a life-long Democrat & believe that Hillary lost the same way McCain did…the FIX was in ACORN, ACORN, ACORN..& think the FBI should be investigating the Electin & Voter Fraud.

Eve, do you believe Obama is a terrorist?

The death of right-wing fanaticism will be long and slow. There’s a classic cycle, 30 years or so, and we’ve experienced about 30 years of so-called Conservatism, and the sad corrupt state into which it evolved. Now it’s the era of the progressive movement, and this cycle will also last about 30 years. The attacks and whining are the whimpers of a dying so-called movement. That some on this board think they “let” Obama win reveals the depth of “win-at-all-costs” corruption that has infiltrated even rank-and-file Republicans. Progressives must simply continue to answer the insanity with reason and logic. As Obama proves successful, the right-wing ideologues will fade into the irrelevance that they so fear.
November 10th, 2008 20:12
Jeff. I have only one word for your position. “What?”
Corruption exists on both sides of the aisle. The left has been obsessed with the “encroachments on our freedoms.” That’s because the left didn’t initiate them. They will. Starting with the “fairness doctrine”. The use of the IRS as a club. It will continue down the same road the left practices in every country they’ve managed to get their hooks into.
Now, unfortunately, the left owns the population centers. Which means that New York will again determine the relevance of concerns for the entire country. While that statement was hyperbolic, it’s less so than you will admit. The rest of the country will end up (read that “flyover country”) in the same situation as Canada’s western provinces: footing the bill for the dole in the east.
I’ll be curious to see what your reactions will be when freedom of the press becomes even less of a condition than it is today. When “freedom of speech” is rewarded by tax audits. You may not like what they say. But you should be aware that YOUR freedoms depend on theirs as well. When prescribed speech becomes the only speech, that will signal the end of more than 30 years of conservative “dominance” (which is an entirely debatable subject).
As a lifelong Democrat, I grieve for the death throws of my party. The party has moved as far from its 50-60s roots as it is possible to move. It’s practically unrecognizable. The “pundits” for the movement resemble less intellectuals and more Saudi Sheiks issuing spurious fatwas for farting in public.

Stop Whinning my fellow Americans, and Republicans.
You lost, not by a few votes or states, as in 2000-2004, but you lost big. Sarah Palin? I just listened to exerpts of her comments at the GOP Governers shindig-I’m sorry: but only the dishonest and dimwitted would seriously consider her at this time. What has happeened? I’ll let this person say it:
“You were, in effect, handed the keys to a flaming hot economy, fresh from the car-wash with the scent of Fabreze still present in the upholstery. Eight years later there are no hubcaps, the top is shredded, the spare is missing, there are beer bottles in the headliner, and the engine is missing 3/8 of the plug wires. You and your irresponsible friends are now plotting ways to break into Mr. Obama’s workshop where he’s trying to undo your damage and hotwire it for another free-ride? I think you should head down to the bus stop and stand there and hope someone feels sorry enough for you to give you a quarter so you can take the bus, cuz your days of driving are over. ”
— osisbs, lincoln
So hey, lets see how this semi socialist-leftist-muslim- President will perform. My guess is at least the car will run, though it will never be the same again.

Take a look around Preacher, we already aren’t the same. And it’s cause your boy Dubya has bankrupted us.
