When the Red Sox promoted Ron Johnson to their Major League staff as the new first-base coach, it created a vacant managerial position at Triple-A Pawtucket. That spot was filled on Monday, with Boston announcing that former Major Leaguer Torey Lovullo will manage Pawtucket in 2010.
